Jubilee Celebrations Abound

2016 was a year of parties and reflection at Regina Health Center (RHC) as seven vowed religious and clergy celebrated milestone years of service. The rich heritage of RHC stems from the many priests, sisters and brothers who have graced the halls since 1993, when the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine opened the doors of their Motherhouse in Richfield, Ohio. With opened arms, they welcomed retired and infirmed members of numerous religious communities, diocesan priests and lay persons in need of supportive services.

“Jubilee years are very special for our religious residents,” said Sister Donna Mikula, OSU, director of pastoral care at RHC. “It usually involves weeks of gatherings with other community members, visits from friends and family, prayers, and deep reflection on who they were when they gave themselves to our Lord, and what they have accomplished over many years in his service. We are fortunate for these many dedicated and accomplished individuals who have given us the opportunity to care for them in their old age.” Sr. Donna is also one of the jubilarians.
